I was born in one of the most typical neighborhoods of Lisbon, Mouraria (the others are Bairro Alto and Alfama). I know the city like few others, everything from the lesser-known sights and views, through the main monuments and green spaces in the city, to the most mysterious places of the capital.
Like any genuine Portuguese, I love sharing my city and all its stories and experiences that make it unique and special; I do this with passion and in a relaxed and funny way.
I love travelling, meeting new people, playing football, politics, tasting the good Portuguese food delicacies, having great conversation and enjoying a sunset after a sunny summer afternoon. In short, I'm here to surprise you, counting on the beautiful city of Lisbon and on your good mood. I can tell you I am not a traditional guide (I don’t even pretend to be the classic tour guideJ). I want to be part of your trip and I aim to enrich your experience in Lisbon and make it unique...
I have been a true “Lisboner”, since the day I was born, despite my origins being a mix of genes from different geographical origins, including Madeira Island and the West of Portugal. This exotic blend is perhaps responsible for the enormous willingness I have to travel ... I love travelling and I travel a lot! Nevertheless, returning to Lisbon is always one of the most exciting parts of all trips.
I am a great travelling companion, people usually say I’m that pal who is always ready to show the best places, to live the best experiences and to reveal Lisbon as only a true “Lisboner” can and knows how to do. In our tours, I’ll share with you everything important that Lisbon has to offer, but in an informal way and like a true gentleman. One of the characteristics I most appreciate is knowing how to welcome people from different cultures.
I was born and raised in the south part of Lisbon (some people says that it’s the right side). I spent my youth waking up to see the amazing Lisbon along the ‘25th of April Bridge’ over the Tagus River (it’s like the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco), and believe me, it’s really amazing. My life and work have always connected me with Lisbon, so it’s natural that I always look enthusiastic when I’m talking about this city, particularly the old town or Belem....yes, I love history!
Note that I am the guy that deals with all the back office work of Lisbon Riders, so I will be your first impression when you email or call us.
I am a hearty “Lisboner” and I love to live the city like few can. I want to take you to discover the city and to be enchanted by it. I know almost everything in this city and I will constantly surprise you with details, experiences and stories that will bring you to tears the day you have to return home. Are you looking for a good story about the Lisbon Cathedral or the Carmo Square (where the political regime changed in 1974)? I have it...
I ́m also the one that created and I manage the Lisbon Riders image and website. It’s a very engaging job that I do with all my passion for Lisbon and for the travelers that visit us!
